What time is check-in and check-out?

Rooms are guaranteed to be ready for your arrival by 3 p.m. In the event of your room being ready before 3 p.m., feel free to access your room and get settled. Check-out time is 11 a.m.

Age Limit

The Coral Seas has an age limit of 25 to rent a room. Anyone that checks in under the age of 21 without a legal guardian that will be staying with them the whole time, will be immediately asked to leave the premises and the reservation will be canceled with no refund.

Is parking guaranteed?

Parking is not guaranteed. The Coral Seas has 40 parking spaces, and we allow one vehicle per room to be parked on the lot on a first come, first served basis. Street parking is also available around the perimeter of the Coral Seas in the event that guests arrive with more than one vehicle. Street parking has no time limitations and no fees.  

Can we bring guests to the pool and patio?

The pool and patio is for registered guests only. This ensures that everyone staying with us will have complete access to our lounges and tables.

Is the pool heated?

The Coral Seas pool is heated from June-September when needed. In May and October, we do not guarantee that the pool will be heated, except for Memorial Day weekend.

Do the pool and beach have lifeguards?

There are no lifeguards at the Coral Seas Pool. The pool is open from 9 a.m. until approximately 6:30 or 7:30 p.m., depending on the time of the season. Guests are advised to always swim safely.
*Any child under the age of sixteen must have a parent or guardian present in the pool and patio area if they want to swim.  
Beach lifeguards are on duty at LBI’s beaches from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. in season, from mid-June to mid-September. There are no beach lifeguards at any time before Memorial Day weekend, or after September.  

Do you provide beach badges?

Beach badges are provided on loan to guests at no additional cost. Beach badges must be returned to us after use. The beach badge fee will be charged if badges are lost or not returned.

Do you provide gear for the beach?

The motel does not provide beach gear, however LBI is home to several shops that sell and rent chairs, umbrellas, and other beach equipment.

Is there a spot to leave bicycles?  

We do not have a bike rack, but most guests lock their bikes right to the pool fence. There are also many bike rental companies in town.

Do you provide cots, cribs or Pack and Plays?

Cots cribs and Pack and Plays are not available directly from the Motel. A maximum of four people including children may stay our Standard Rooms and Oceanfront Rooms that have two double beds. A maximum of two people including children may stay in our Standard Rooms and Oceanfront Rooms with one queen bed.  

AJ’s Rentals, located just down the street from the Corals Seas, provides cribs and pack-and-plays which may be rented if needed. AJ’s Rentals can deliver rentals to your room and have the materials conveniently set up when you check-in.

What is your cancellation policy?

All rooms require a one night deposit; two- to three-night deposits are required for longer stays. In order for your deposit to be refundable, any amendments or cancellations must be made at least two weeks in advance. Cancellations within two weeks of the reservation are non-refundable. Cancellations outside of two weeks will be refundable minus a $35 cancellation fee.  

Do you allow pets?

Pets are not permitted. Service animals are welcome with proper documentation.

Are there laundry facilities on site?

We do not have laundry facilities on site for guest use. There is a laundromat available on the other side of the island in Surf City. 

Are there a lot of family friendly activities on the island?  

Yes! There are many activities for families on Long Beach Island, most within walking distance from the Coral Seas, including Amusement Parks, Water Parks, Miniature Golf, Summer Stock Theatre, Arcades, Bike Rentals, Boat Excursions, Ice Cream Parlors, Museums, Surfing and Watersports.

Are there many restaurants and grocery stores near you?

There many restaurants, BYOBs, bars, coffee shops, and grocery and liquor stores within walking distance of the Coral Seas, for which we are always happy to provide recommendations.

Does the property have an elevator?

There is no elevator available at the Coral Seas. If accessibility is a concern, please let us know in advance when booking so that we can ensure you receive a room on the first floor. All Oceanfront Rooms are on the second and third floors, and all of the Coral Seas Suites are located on the third floor. Please take the usage of stairs into consideration when booking. 

Are there BBQs or grills available for cooking on the property?

There are no BBQs or grills on the property. Also, due to fire hazards, we do not allow hotplates or any other cooking appliances in the rooms.  

Is there an ice machine on the property?

Yes, there is an ice machine located next to the office on the first floor. Ice is available for small coolers. Ice buckets are provided in all rooms. We ask that guests please do not fill up large coolers from the machine. There is also a microwave in the ice machine room for guests to use.
